Welcoming Home a Hero - Fallen Marine LCpl Brandon Lara
Here is a true image of what we Americans feel about our
American Soldiers. A final tribute to one of our fallen heroes
from
New Braunfels, Texas and what the people in Schertz, and
New Braunfels, Texas feel toward one of our own.
Lance Corporal Lara's body was flown into Randolph AFB
Texas and
transferred to Zoellar funeral home which is located in his
home town
of
New Braunfels, TX.
Many of our own Post members were in attendance on
Randolph to honor this hero. Over 100 of our flags from
the Flag Program were used. Once our members and members
from the Patriot Guard had a flag, the few remaining were passed
out.
The Youtube
link below is to a video made from a police cruiser during
the transfer through
Schertz
on Sunday.
The
funeral procession that left
New Braunfels 2 days later for burial at
Fort Sam Houston in
San Antonio, TX. was equally impressive. The horses at FM
78 and 3009 were from the
Comal County Mounted Posse in New Braunfels, Texas.
God Bless America and may God Bless
Lance Corporal
Lara for his ultimate sacrifice!
